This Is A Running List of iPhone Tips as I come across them or discover them. The following were added October 24, 2017 Hands Free, Siri & Me Since iOS10 at least, and on the iPhone 7 series and later, (if not before), you could make your iPhone completely hands free for things like making calls over speaker, setting alarms, reading and making messages. This means setting your iPhone into "always listening" mode. After extensive testing, this has very very very little impact on battery life. Unlike some of the Android phones I've had, where it actually did have a noticeable impact on battery over the course of a day. Go into "Settings", down to "Siri & Search" and make sure Listen for "Hey Siri" is active. From this point on, you can turn the screen off, put your phone on the table, and without touching the device, trying saying things like: "Hey Siri, Message to So-N-So, Lets have steak on the barbecue tonight."

Why I chose the iPhone 8 Plus as my next phone.

It's that time of the year again where I'm undecided about what new phone to buy that will get me through the next year or year and a half until this cycle repeats, and it's a cycle that has repeated over and over for me since the spring of 2007 when the first iPhone was released. I just just took the plunge and upgraded my iPhone 7 to an iPhone 8 Plus. I'll explain why in a second but I need to provide a bit of history perhaps History I've owned the two main types of phones on the market: Android and iOS based, and throughout the years, they've each have had their good points and not so good points. I have literally hundreds of paid apps (and thousands of free apps of course) on both platforms, so jumping between either is simple for me. "The Challenge" Company X sells products online and have several competitors selling the same products. They always want to keep abreast of at least what their two or three biggest competitors are selling certain products for. They currently have a list of about 200 main products (from about 4,000) that they will periodically manually go through each product, on each website, and see what these other 2 or 3 companies are selling product for (including their own), higher, lower, or about the same. Or, many times they will just wait until a customer will call in and say, "XYZ is selling this for... can you give me a better price?"
